Job Description: General Manager – Administration
Job Summary
The General Manager – Administration is responsible for directing, overseeing, and optimizing all administrative, facility management, and corporate support operations across the organization. This role ensures a seamless, cost-effective, and safe working environment while maintaining strict compliance with statutory regulations, legal norms, and internal company policies.
Key Responsibility Areas (KRAs) & Performance Indicators
1. Facility & Infrastructure Management
Responsibility: Oversee the upkeep, layout, and maintenance of all corporate offices, plants, or physical facilities. Manage commercial lease agreements, annual maintenance contracts (AMCs), and workplace utilities.
KPIs: Infrastructure uptime, facilities maintenance budget variance, and successful completion of preventative maintenance schedules.
2. Procurement & Vendor Management
Responsibility: Lead the corporate procurement strategy for administrative goods and services (including office furniture, IT hardware, stationery, pantry, and security assets). Negotiate contracts and manage vendor performance evaluations.
KPIs: Cost savings achieved through vendor negotiations, turnaround time (TAT) on item indents, and vendor compliance rates.
3. Statutory Compliance, Liaison & Security
Responsibility: Act as the primary liaison for local government bodies, municipal corporations, law enforcement, and regulatory departments (e.g., pollution control boards, labor departments). Supervise overall corporate security protocols and crisis management.
KPIs: Zero regulatory penalties or compliance lapses, timely renewal of operational licenses, and successful internal/external audits.
4. Transport, Travel & Guest Relations
Responsibility: Direct company fleet management, employee transit systems, corporate travel desk operations, and hospitality/guest house arrangements for visiting executives or clients.
KPIs: On-time employee transportation schedules, cost-efficiency in corporate travel booking, and guest satisfaction ratings.
5. Budgetary Control & Cost Optimization
Responsibility: Formulate, monitor, and control the annual administrative capital and operational expenditure (CAPEX/OPEX) budgets. Identify areas for waste reduction and resource optimization.
KPIs: Percentage reduction in administrative overheads and adherence to approved monthly/annual budgets.

Crisis Management & Liaison: Exceptional capability to de-escalate sensitive workplace issues, coordinate effectively with regulatory officials, and handle local community or external labor matters with tact.
Vendor Negotiation: Advanced skills in evaluating technical specifications, reviewing service level agreements (SLAs), and driving cost-efficiencies.
Operational Control: Strong command over inventory tracking systems, workplace safety regulations, and security management.
Cross-Departmental Collaboration: Ability to work closely with Human Resources, Finance, and Legal teams to enforce corporate discipline and internal compliance frameworks.
Required Qualifications
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Commerce, or a related field. A Master’s degree in Business Administration (MBA), Public Administration, or a postgraduate diploma in Operations/General Management is highly desirable.
Experience: A minimum of 12 to 15 years of rich administrative experience, with at least 4 to 6 years leading administrative operations at a corporate office or industrial plant level.
Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of local commercial laws, workplace safety regulations, and liaison protocols for government offices.
Pay: ₹70,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
