- Costing & Negotiation: Prepare accurate garment costing sheets, calculate consumption (fabric and trims), and negotiate competitive prices with both buyers and vendors to optimize profit margins.
- Production Overviews & T&A Management: Formulate and enforce strict Time & Action (T&A) calendars. Proactively identify potential bottlenecks in fabric sourcing or factory production and implement corrective actions.
- Sourcing Strategy: Collaborate with the procurement team to source high-quality fabrics, yarns, and accessories from local suppliers that match the buyer's budget and quality standards.
- Cross-Functional Leadership: Lead and align internal departments—including Design, Sampling, Cutting, Production, and Quality Assurance—to ensure bulk production matches approved Pre-Production (PP) samples perfectly.
- Team Mentorship: Supervise, train, and delegate tasks to Junior Merchandisers, monitoring their performance and helping them resolve daily operational issues.
Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s degree or Diploma in Fashion Merchandising, Apparel Production Management, Textile Technology, or a closely related field.

- Soft Skills: Exceptional negotiation and communication skills, strong leadership capabilities, and the ability to work under high pressure on the factory floor.
