Job Summary
Peregrine Enviro is seeking a skilled, detail-oriented Mechanical Fitter to join our operational team in Dahej. In this role, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, and repair of mechanical machinery and equipment across our environmental plant facilities to ensure continuous operational reliability.
Key Responsibilities
- Equipment Installation & Fitting
- Read and interpret mechanical engineering drawings, blueprints, and assembly schematics.
- Fit, assemble, alignment, and install mechanical components, pumps, valves, gearboxes, blowers, and piping systems.
- Execute precise shaft alignment (dial indicator / laser alignment), bearing fitting, and dynamic balancing of rotating equipment.
- Preventive & Corrective Maintenance
- Perform routine mechanical inspections, preventive maintenance schedules, and overhauling of plant equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical faults, wear-and-tear, or leaks and perform prompt corrective repairs to minimize facility downtime.
- Perform basic fabrication, cutting, grinding, and tack welding during repair or modification work.
- Safety & Daily Operations
- Strictly adhere to industrial safety regulations, Permit to Work (PTW) protocols, and Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
- Maintain clean, organized work areas and ensure all hand and power tools are properly maintained.
- Maintain shift logs, report mechanical breakdowns, and track spare parts consumption.
Qualifications & Requirements
- Education: ITI in Fitter / Millwright Fitter trade certification or Diploma in Mechanical Engineering.
- Experience: 3–6 years of hands-on experience as a Mechanical Fitter in continuous process industries such as Environmental/Effluent Treatment Plants (ETP/STP), Chemical, Petrochemical, or Heavy Manufacturing.
Technical Skills & Competencies
- Strong proficiency in overhauling pumps (centrifugal, dosing, slurry), compressors, agitators, gearboxes, and valves.
- Expertise in precision measurement using calipers, micrometers, and feeler gauges.
- Ability to safely handle hand tools, power tools, hydraulic presses, and lifting/rigging gear.
- Willingness to work in rotating shifts.
Preferred Candidates
- Candidates residing in or willing to relocate to Dahej, Bharuch, Ankleshwar, or surrounding areas.
- Available to join immediately or within a 7–15 day notice period.
Pay: ₹15,000.00 - ₹25,000.00 per month
