Job Summary
The Assistant Professor (Commerce) is responsible for teaching commerce subjects, mentoring students, supporting practical and industry-oriented learning, and contributing to academic and institutional activities in accordance with UGC and affiliating university norms.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach UG B.Com courses as per university syllabus.
- Handle core subjects such as Financial Accounting, Corporate Accounting, Cost Accounting, Business Law, Taxation, Auditing, Banking, and Business Economics.
- Prepare lesson plans, course files, teaching materials, and assessments.
- Conduct internal tests, assignments, case studies, and student evaluations.
- Guide students in projects, internships, and commerce-related practical work.
- Organize guest lectures, industrial visits, and commerce seminars.
- Encourage student participation in academic competitions and enrichment activities.
- Contribute to research, publications, and academic development programs.
- Maintain academic records and support NAAC/IQAC documentation.
- Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
Qualifications
- M.Com (Mandatory)
- NET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms
- Teaching or industry experience preferred (freshers may apply where permitted)
