Job Title: Trainee Perfumer
Department: Fragrance Development / R&D

Reporting To: Senior Perfumer / Fragrance Development Manager
Job Summary:
The Trainee Perfumer will support the fragrance development team in creating, evaluating, and modifying perfume compositions. The role is designed for individuals passionate about fragrances and eager to learn the art and science of perfumery. The trainee will receive hands-on training in fragrance formulation, raw material handling, and sensory evaluation.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in fragrance formulation and sample preparation under supervision
- Learn aromatic raw materials and their olfactive properties
- Support blending, compounding, and evaluation activities
- Conduct basic sensory (smell) evaluations and document feedback
- Maintain lab hygiene, safety standards, and proper material storage
- Assist in stability and performance testing of fragrances
- Maintain proper records of formulas, trials, and reports
- Coordinate with R&D and production teams for sample development
Skills & Competencies:
- Interest in fragrances, cosmetics, or perfumery
- Good sensory perception and attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and work in a lab environment
- Basic chemistry knowledge preferred (not mandatory)
- Good observation and documentation skills
Eligibility:
- B.Sc. / M.Sc. Chemistry, Cosmetic Science, or related field preferred
- Freshers or candidates with up to 1 year experience can apply
- Strong interest in perfumery is essential
Pay: From ₹25,000.00 per month
