Job Summary
Role Summary:
We are hiring a Data Testing Engineer / GCP Data Quality Engineer with strong expertise in data testing, data quality, ETL validator, data modelling, and data interface testing to ensure high-quality, reliable, and scalable data solutions on Google Cloud Platform (GCP).
Key Responsibilities:
Perform end-to-end data testing across data warehouses, data lakes, and GCP data platforms.
Execute ETL validation (ETL validator) including source-to-target mapping, transformation logic validation, and reconciliation checks.
Ensure robust data quality by validating accuracy, completeness, consistency, and integrity of datasets.
Design and validate data modelling structures (dimensional models, star/snowflake schema).
Conduct data interface testing to validate seamless data flow across integrated systems and APIs.
Develop automated and manual test cases for ETL pipelines and data workflows.
Perform data validation using SQL and large-scale data comparison techniques.
Implement and monitor data quality frameworks on GCP (BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Cloud Composer).
Identify, log, and track defects and data discrepancies.
Collaborate with data engineers, analysts, and stakeholders to validate business rules and requirements.
Required Skills:
Strong experience in data testing, data quality, and ETL validator processes.
Hands-on experience with GCP data services (BigQuery, Dataflow, Cloud Storage, Pub/Sub).
Proficiency in SQL for data validation and analysis.
Solid understanding of data modelling concepts and data warehousing principles.
Experience in data interface testing across APIs and distributed systems.
Experience with ETL tools/frameworks (Informatica, Talend, or native GCP pipelines).
Familiarity with defect tracking and test management tools (JIRA, TestRail, etc.).
Preferred Skills:
Automation using Python for data testing and data quality checks.
Experience with big data technologies (Spark, Hadoop).
Knowledge of CI/CD pipelines for data validation.
Key Responsibilities
1. To create & review the Test Cases from the Functional Specifications / Software Requirement Specification document.
2. To test the Functionality as per the Test plan and respective Test Cases..
3. To contributes while test plans are developed as per the work assigned.
4. To track test coverage, defect density, other relevant metrics, and publish progress reports.
5. To coordinate with team (for discussions) and interact with client (for updates).
