About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, skilled, and experienced Oncology Nurse to provide high-quality nursing care to oncology patients in a clinic setting. The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in oncology nursing,
chemotherapy administration, patient monitoring, IV procedures, and supportive care, along with excellent
communication and patient-handling skills.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide nursing care to oncology patients before, during, and after treatment.
- Assist the oncologist during consultations, procedures, and treatment sessions.
- Administer chemotherapy and other prescribed medications as per approved protocols and under appropriate medical supervision.
- Verify chemotherapy orders, patient identity, medication, dosage, route, and relevant safety checks before administration.
- Monitor patients closely during chemotherapy and identify adverse reactions or complications promptly.
- Recognize and appropriately escalate signs of chemotherapy reactions, anaphylaxis, extravasation, infection, or other emergencies.
- Perform IV cannulation, infusion management, injections, and blood sampling as required.
- Monitor vital signs and maintain accurate patient records.
- Educate patients and caregivers regarding treatment, medication, side effects, nutrition, hygiene, and follow-up care.
- Provide emotional support and reassurance to patients and their families throughout the treatment journey.
- Maintain proper documentation of medications, treatment administration, patient observations, and adverse events.
- Follow strict infection-control, medication-safety, and biomedical-waste management procedures.
- Ensure appropriate handling, storage, preparation, and disposal of cytotoxic drugs according to clinic protocols and applicable safety standards.
- Maintain readiness of emergency equipment and medications in the treatment area.
- Coordinate with doctors, pharmacists, laboratory staff, and other healthcare professionals.
- Monitor availability of nursing supplies, consumables, emergency medications, and treatment-related equipment.
- Assist with patient scheduling and coordination of treatment/follow-up appointments where required. Maintain confidentiality of patient medical information.
- Follow clinic SOPs, nursing standards, and applicable regulatory requirements.
Candidate Requirements
- B.Sc Nursing / GNM from a recognized institution.
- Valid nursing registration with the applicable State Nursing Council.
- 2–6 years of relevant nursing experience, preferably with oncology experience.
- Prior experience in a cancer hospital, oncology clinic, chemotherapy daycare, or infusion centre is preferred.
- Hands-on experience with IV cannulation and infusion procedures.
- Good understanding of chemotherapy drugs, protocols, side effects, and precautions.
- Ability to identify and respond appropriately to treatment-related complications.
- Strong patient-care and communication skills.
- Good documentation and clinical record-keeping abilities.
- Ability to work effectively with doctors and multidisciplinary healthcare teams.
- Compassionate, calm, patient, and professional approach.

Ideal Candidate
A compassionate and clinically competent Oncology Nurse who can confidently manage patients through their
treatment journey, work closely with the oncologist, and ensure a safe, supportive, and professional chemotherapy-care environment.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹40,000.00 per month
Ability to commute/relocate:
- Seshadripuram, Bengaluru, Karnataka: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (Preferred)
