Job Description (JD) – Head of Sales (HOD) Industry: Textile Manufacturing (Online & Offline Sales) Department: Sales & Marketing Reporting To: CEO / Director / HR Position Summary The Head of Sales (HOD) will be responsible for managing and growing the company's Online and Offline Sales operations, leading the sales team, achieving company sales targets, improving profitability, and ensuring customer satisfaction. The role includes strategic planning, team management, sales performance monitoring, and Profit & Loss (P&L) accountability. Key Responsibilities (KRA) 1. Sales Growth & Revenue Management Achieve monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets. Increase revenue from both Online and Offline sales channels. Develop sales strategies to expand market share and customer base. Monitor sales trends and implement corrective actions when required. 2. Online Sales Management Manage sales through website, marketplaces, and social media channels. Monitor online orders, conversion rates, and customer feedback. Coordinate with Marketing for campaigns and promotions. Ensure timely dispatch and customer satisfaction. 3. Offline Sales Management Manage showroom, distributors, dealers, and field sales teams. Expand dealer/distributor network and increase business volume. Visit key customers and maintain strong business relationships. Monitor market competition and pricing strategies. 4. Team Leadership & Performance Management Lead and supervise Sales Managers, Sales Executives, and Customer Support teams. Set KPIs and targets for team members. Conduct regular performance reviews and coaching sessions. Ensure discipline, productivity, and teamwork. 5. Profit & Loss (P&L) Management Take ownership of department Profit & Loss. Monitor sales margins, discounts, and operational expenses. Ensure profitable sales growth. Analyze product-wise and channel-wise profitability. 6. Target Achievement & Reporting Prepare monthly sales forecasts and business plans. Track achievement against targets. Submit Daily, Weekly, and Monthly MIS reports to Management. Present sales performance and improvement plans to CEO. 7. Customer Relationship Management Handle major customer complaints and escalations. Ensure high customer satisfaction and repeat business. Develop long-term relationships with key accounts. 8. Cross-Functional Coordination Coordinate with Production, Purchase, Accounts, Dispatch, and Marketing departments. Ensure smooth order processing and timely delivery. Maintain proper inventory planning to avoid stock shortages. Required Skills & Competencies Strong knowledge of Textile Industry. Experience in Online & Offline Sales Management. Excellent Team Handling and Leadership Skills. Strong understanding of Sales Strategy and Market Analysis. Knowledge of Profit & Loss (P&L) Management. Strong negotiation and communication skills. Data analysis and MIS reporting skills. Ability to work under pressure and achieve targets. Qualification MBA / Graduate in Marketing, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum 8 years of experience in Textile Industry. At least 3–5 years experience in handling Online & Offline Sales Teams as HOD or Senior Manager.
