Job Summary
We are seeking a skilled AutoCAD Engineer/Designer with experience in Smart City and Safe City projects to support the design, drafting, and documentation of ICT infrastructure, surveillance systems, command and control centers, networking, and associated smart urban solutions. The candidate will be responsible for preparing detailed engineering drawings, layouts, as-built drawings, and project documentation in coordination with project, engineering, and implementation teams.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed AutoCAD drawings for Smart City and Safe City projects.
- Develop layouts for CCTV surveillance systems, command and control centers, network infrastructure, fiber optic routes, and integrated security solutions.
- Prepare schematic diagrams, Single Line Diagrams (SLDs), General Arrangement (GA) drawings, and installation drawings.
- Generate route maps, cable layouts, junction box layouts, pole locations, and equipment placement drawings.
- Modify and update drawings based on site surveys and project requirements.
- Prepare as-built drawings upon project completion.
- Coordinate with project managers, solution architects, and site engineers to ensure design accuracy.
- Maintain drawing registers and document control procedures.
- Ensure compliance with client specifications, project standards, and industry best practices.
- Support preparation of BOQs and technical documentation as required.
Required Skills
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (2D and preferably 3D).
- Experience in Smart City and Safe City projects.
- Knowledge of:
- CCTV Surveillance SystemsVideo Management Systems (VMS)
- Command & Control Centers (ICCC)
- Networking Infrastructure
- Fiber Optic Network Layouts
- Public Address Systems
- Access Control Systems
- Smart Poles and Urban ICT Infrastructure
- Ability to interpret engineering and architectural drawings.
- Good understanding of GIS maps and utility layouts.
- Strong attention to detail and documentation skills.
Educational Qualification
- Diploma / B.Tech / B.E. in Civil, Electrical, Electronics, Telecommunications, or related discipline.
- Certification in AutoCAD preferred.
Preferred Experience
- Experience in Government Smart City Missions.
- Experience working on Safe City surveillance projects.
- Experience in ICCC (Integrated Command and Control Center) deployments.
- Experience with city-wide CCTV, OFC, networking, and security infrastructure projects.
- Familiarity with GIS tools will be an added advantage.
