Overview
Gallagher Center of Excellence is seeking to hire a role of a Manager – Financial and Actuarial for the Insurance vertical. In this role, the Manager will split time between delivering high-quality financial analysis and managing team operations and stakeholder relationships. From people perspective this role will Lead and manage a team of 20+ colleagues, ensuring effective workload management, collaboration, and high performance across deliverables.
From work perspective this role involves supporting the US branch with end-to-end financial reporting activities, including Forecasting, Claims Projection, IBNR estimation, Contribution Modeling, and Plan Design Modeling.
The Manager will collaborate closely with Client Managers and internal teams to ensure timely and accurate completion of deliverables for assigned accounts. In addition to technical responsibilities, the role includes mentoring team members, driving process improvements, and facilitating effective communication across onshore and offshore teams.
A strong understanding of US Health Insurance regulations, experience in financial analysis, and the ability to manage multiple priorities are essential. The ideal candidate will demonstrate leadership capabilities, analytical rigor, and a commitment to delivering client-focused solutions
How you'll make an impact
Responsibilities:

Detailed knowledge and expertise on experience reports that assess client financial status, including tracking expenses, funding levels, and rates by Employee Benefit Plans. Present insights to internal stakeholders and support client discussions.

Lead and manage a team of 40+ colleagues, ensuring effective workload management, collaboration, and high performance across deliverables. Hence, team/people management experience is mandatory

Manage the monthly connects, stakeholder management and reporting/tracking of SLAs for aligned processes.

Review and refine client-specific financial and performance reports, ensuring key metrics and trends are clearly communicated to support strategic decisions.

Ensure accuracy and reliability in financial calculations by validating methodologies and reviewing outputs across the team.

Collaborate with account management teams to shape renewal strategies that reflect client goals and financial insights. Support negotiation planning and execution.

Validate that all analyses are logical, comprehensive, and aligned with business objectives.

Foster strong relationships with onshore and offshore teams. Coordinate cross-functional collaboration and proactively resolve queries to ensure seamless execution.

Participate in client meetings and support underwriting discussions by providing financial insights and tailored recommendations.

Drive people development through regular coaching, mentoring, and feedback sessions to enhance technical, analytical, and professional capabilities

Lead onboarding, train new team members. Cultivate a culture of collaboration, accountability, and continuous improvement.
About you
Qualifications:

Preferred Degree: Bachelor or Master’s Degree in Statistics / Applied Math/Stats

Experience: 10+ Years of exp (Preferably in US Health and Financial reporting)

This is a -managerial role requiring mandatory people management experience, along with hands-on client engagement and SLA management.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Applied Statistics (Advanced Level): Ability to interpret complex data sets and apply statistical techniques to support financial analysis and decision-making.

US Health Insurance / Group Insurance Experience: Strong understanding of benefit structures, funding mechanisms, and regulatory considerations within the U.S. insurance landscape.

Domain Knowledge in Insurance / Reinsurance: Solid grasp of insurance principles, financial modeling, and risk assessment practices.

Excellent Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills: Ability to synthesize data into actionable insights and support strategic recommendations.

Team and Stakeholder Management: Proven ability to lead teams, manage cross-functional collaboration, and engage effectively with internal and external stakeholders.

Communication and Presentation Skills: Strong written and verbal communication skills to convey complex financial concepts clearly and confidently.

Attention to Detail and Time Management: Ability to manage multiple priorities with precision and deliver high-quality outputs within tight timelines.
