Job Description
We are looking for an experienced and responsible Purchaser / Procurement Officer to manage procurement activities for our industrial engineering project at Sri City, Andhra Pradesh.
The candidate will be responsible for sourcing materials, obtaining quotations, negotiating prices, issuing purchase orders and ensuring timely delivery of materials to the project/site.
Qualification
- Diploma / Degree in related field.
- 3–7 years of relevant experience in purchasing/procurement, preferably in industrial, construction, MEP or engineering projects.
- Candidates with experience in HVAC, Piping, Plumbing/Sanitary, Utility and MEP materials will be preferred.
- Good knowledge of MS Office, Excel and procurement documentation.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare and manage the daily, weekly and monthly procurement plan based on project requirements.
- Review Material Requisitions (MR) and coordinate with the project/site team to understand material requirements.
- Source materials, equipment and services from suitable suppliers and subcontractors.
- Identify and develop a reliable supplier/vendor network.
- Obtain and compare quotations from multiple suppliers.
- Prepare Quotation Comparison Sheets (QCS) and submit recommendations for approval.
- Negotiate prices, payment terms, delivery schedules, warranty and other commercial conditions with suppliers.
- Prepare and issue Purchase Orders (PO) after obtaining the required approvals.
- Follow up with suppliers to ensure materials are delivered on time and as per specification.
- Coordinate with suppliers, site engineers, project managers, stores and accounts departments.
- Monitor the status of all pending purchase orders and maintain a proper PO tracking system.
- Coordinate with the stores/site team for material receiving and delivery schedules.
- Follow up on material shortages, damages, wrong deliveries and replacement requirements.
- Maintain proper procurement records, including quotations, comparison sheets, purchase orders, delivery documents and invoices.
- Monitor material prices and identify opportunities for cost savings.
- Develop alternative suppliers when required to avoid project delays.
- Ensure procurement activities are carried out within the approved budget and project schedule.
- Assist the project team in preparing material cost estimates and procurement forecasts.
- Track long-lead items and ensure early procurement to prevent project delays.
- Coordinate with finance/accounts regarding supplier invoices, payment status and outstanding issues.
- Maintain good professional relationships with suppliers and vendors.
- Ensure all procurement activities follow company policies and approval procedures.

- Ability to work closely with Project Manager, Engineers, QA/QC, Stores, Accounts and Management.
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
Work Location: In person
