Required skills
- Must have 7 + years of experience in making proposals of cooling towers, capital goods. (For example:- D.G sets, process chilling plants , Heat exchangers, evaporators, refrigerated driers, condensers etc.)
- Must have high technical knowledge with strong educational background.
- Must be good in written and spoken english.
Job Summary
The Assistant Manager – Proposals is responsible for preparing techno-commercial proposals, managing RFQs/RFPs, coordinating with internal departments, and ensuring timely submission of competitive quotations for cooling tower projects. The role requires strong technical understanding of cooling towers, project estimation, costing, and customer requirements to support the sales team in winning new business.
Key Responsibilities
- Prepare detailed techno-commercial proposals for Cooling Towers, Process Chillers, and related equipment.
- Review customer enquiries, RFQs, tender documents, technical specifications, and commercial terms.
- Coordinate with Design, Engineering, Procurement, Production, and Projects teams for technical inputs.
- Prepare cost estimates based on BOM, fabrication requirements, bought-out items, and project scope.
- Evaluate customer specifications and identify deviations, assumptions, and exclusions.
- Prepare quotation documents, commercial offers, compliance statements, and technical datasheets.
- Participate in tender submissions through online portals and customer procurement systems.
- Maintain proposal documentation, quotation history, and tender records.
- Conduct competitor analysis and pricing comparisons to improve proposal competitiveness.
- Coordinate with vendors to obtain quotations for bought-out equipment.
- Support the Sales team during technical discussions, bid clarification meetings, and customer presentations.
- Follow up on submitted quotations and provide revised offers whenever required.
- Ensure proposals comply with company policies, quality standards, and customer requirements.
- Prepare project handover documents after receipt of purchase orders.
- Assist in contract review before order execution.
- Generate proposal MIS reports and sales pipeline updates.
Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per year
