About the Role
DataTroops, an AI-focused IT company, is looking for a Software Development Engineer (SDE) Intern to join our engineering team. This is a great opportunity for students to gain hands-on experience building real software at a company where AI is central to what we build — working alongside our engineering team on backend systems, APIs, and AI-integrated features.
What You will Do
- Assist in designing, developing, and testing backend systems and APIs
- Write and debug code under the guidance of senior engineers
- Work with our team on AI/ML-related features and integrations
- Participate in code reviews and learn team coding standards and best practices
- Support troubleshooting and issue resolution across projects
- Learn and apply new tools, frameworks, and technologies as needed
Eligibility
- BTech — 2027 pass-outs
- BCA — 2026 and 2027 pass-outs
Skills Required
- Basic to good understanding of coding/programming
- Knowledge of Python and Java
- Understanding of REST APIs
- Basic awareness of AI concepts/tools (exposure is enough, expertise not required)
- Any additional programming languages or tools are a plus
- 6 months – 1 year of internship/training experience in software development
