Job Summary:
We are looking for a skilled CNC Operator cum Programmer responsible for operating CNC machines and developing programs for mould manufacturing. The candidate should have hands-on experience in machining processes, tooling, and precision measurement to ensure high-quality mould production.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and operate CNC machines (VMC/HMC) for mould manufacturing
- Develop, modify, and optimize CNC programs (G-code, M-code)
- Interpret engineering drawings, CAD files, and technical specifications
- Select appropriate cutting tools, fixtures, and machine parameters
- Perform machining of mould components like cores, cavities, inserts, etc.
- Ensure accuracy and quality by using measuring instruments (Vernier, Micrometer, Height Gauge, etc.)
- Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments
- Troubleshoot machining issues and minimize downtime
- Maintain proper documentation of programs and production reports
- Follow safety guidelines and maintain a clean work environment
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma / ITI / BE in Mechanical Engineering or related field
- 2–5 years of experience in CNC operation & programming (mould industry preferred)
- Strong knowledge of CNC programming (Fanuc/Siemens controller preferred)
- Experience with CAD/CAM software (e.g., Mastercam, NX, PowerMill)
- Understanding of mould manufacturing processes
- Ability to read and interpret technical drawings
- Knowledge of tooling, cutting parameters, and materials
- Basic knowledge of GD&T and tolerances
Preferred Skills:
- Experience in plastic injection moulds
- Knowledge of 3-axis / 5-axis machining
- Problem-solving and analytical skills
- Team player with good communication skills
Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
