About the role:
We are seeking a Design Manager tolead the creative vision, development, and execution of all packaging and visual design initiatives of our new brand. This role requires a combination of strategic brand thinking, strong design aesthetics, packaging innovation, and team leadership. The individual will ensure that every design touchpoint, especially packaging, enhances brand identity, product visibility, and consumer experience.
Specifically, this role will involve:
- Strong portfolio demonstrating a wide range of creative work with consistent brand alignment.
- Oversee the development of brand identity systems, label designs, and marketing collaterals supporting product launches and campaigns.
- Ensure a cohesive visual language across all platforms, including packaging, digital, print, and retail displays.
- Review and approve final artworks, maintaining brand integrity and ensuring regulatory compliance.
- Lead, mentor, and guide a team of graphic and packaging designers to deliver high-quality output.
- Conduct regular design reviews, provide constructive feedback, and foster creative excellence.
- Build and nurture a collaborative design culture focused on innovation, ownership, and precision.
- Create engaging designs for digital and print formats, including social media, presentations, and marketing materials.
- Collaborate closely with marketing and content teams to conceptualize and execute design ideas effectively.
- Edit and enhance images, develop mockups, and perform photo retouching with attention to detail.
- Stay updated with evolving design trends and social media aesthetics to bring fresh, innovative ideas into projects.
Ideal candidate will have:
- Proven experience in graphic design, branding, and packaging design, supported by a strong portfolio showcasing creative versatility and brand consistency.
- Ability to conceptualize and execute designs across digital and print mediums, including social media creatives, marketing collaterals, presentations, and packaging.
- Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with marketing and content teams, translating ideas into impactful visual assets.
- Expertise in image editing, mockup creation, and photo retouching with a high level of attention to detail and quality.
- Up-to-date with design trends, social media aesthetics, and consumer behavior, bringing fresh and innovative ideas to projects.
Core Skills & Competencies:
- Proficiency in design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign) and other relevant platforms.
- Strong understanding of brand identity systems, typography, color theory, and layout principles.
- Experience in packaging design, label creation, and retail display branding.
- Ability to ensure brand consistency across all touchpoints—digital, print, packaging, and in-store.
- Knowledge of print processes and regulatory requirements for packaging and labeling.
Leadership & Management Capabilities:
- Experience in leading and mentoring design teams, fostering creativity and accountability.
- Ability to review, refine, and approve designs, ensuring high-quality output and brand alignment.
- Strong feedback and communication skills to guide designers and encourage continuous improvement.
- Capability to build a collaborative and innovative design culture focused on excellence and precision.
Preferred Background:
- 5–10 years of experience in branding, creative design, or packaging design, preferably in FMCG, D2C, or related industries.
Qualifications :
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Graphic Design, Packaging Design, Visual Communication, Fine Arts, or related field
Pay: ₹1,500,000.00 - ₹1,600,000.00 per year
