About the Company
Shree Ganesh Roadline is a leading transport and logistics company specializing in bulk cargo transportation across India. We are looking for a sincere, hardworking, and detail-oriented Accountant to join our Accounts Department at our Haldia Head Office.
Key Responsibilities
- Maintain day-to-day accounting entries in Tally Prime/ERP.
- Record Purchase, Sales, Receipt, Payment, Journal, and Contra vouchers.
- Prepare and maintain Cash Book, Bank Book, and Ledgers.
- Perform Bank Reconciliation Statements (BRS).
- Maintain accounts payable and accounts receivable.
- Prepare invoices and process vendor payments.
- Maintain accurate accounting records and supporting documents.
- Prepare MIS reports and Excel-based accounting statements.
- Assist in GST, TDS, and other statutory compliance work.
- Coordinate with auditors, banks, and management whenever required.
- Maintain confidentiality of financial information.
- Support month-end and year-end closing of accounts.
- Client follow-up for payment.
Required Skills
- Good knowledge of Tally Prime / Tally ERP.
- Strong working knowledge of Microsoft Excel (Formulas, Pivot Tables, VLOOKUP/XLOOKUP, Data Management).
- Good understanding of accounting principles and bookkeeping.
- Knowledge of GST and TDS will be an added advantage.
- Good analytical and numerical skills.
- Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Experience
- Minimum 2–5 years of experience in Accounting.
- Experience in a Transport, Logistics, or Freight Company will be preferred.
Educational Qualification
- Commerce background in Class XI & XII.
- B.Com from a recognized University.
Preferred
- M.Com.
- Candidate residing in Haldia or nearby areas will be given preference.
