About the Role:
Your role will involve researching topics, generating original content ideas, and writing engaging scripts across podcasts, talking-head videos, YouTube Shorts, and other video formats. We're looking for someone who understands what keeps audiences watching and can translate those insights into high-performing content.
*Key Responsibilities*
- Research and develop engaging video ideas relevant to parents, students, and the education space.
- Write high-retention scripts for YouTube videos across multiple formats, including podcasts, school reviews, campus tours, talking-head videos, and Shorts.
- Craft compelling hooks that immediately grab viewers' attention.* Structure scripts to maximize audience retention and watch time.
- Stay updated with YouTube trends, storytelling techniques, and evolving viewer preferences.
- Refine scripts based on team feedback and YouTube analytics.
- Suggest video titles, thumbnail ideas, and content angles that can improve click-through rates.
Qualifications
- 1–3 years of experience writing scripts for YouTube.
- Strong understanding of YouTube storytelling, pacing, audience retention, and viewer psychology.
- Exceptional writing skills in conversational Hinglish and English.
- Persuasive with a clear focus on driving user action, lead collection, and brand trust.
- Ability to simplify complex topics into engaging, easy-to-follow scripts.* Strong research skills with attention to factual accuracy.
- Ability to adapt writing style based on different video formats and target audiences.
- Familiarity with the Indian education and school admissions landscapeP.S.: An understanding of Indian parents as an audience: their concerns, decision triggers, and their interest, is a strong plus.Please share links to YouTube videos you've scripted (if available) or a portfolio showcasing your writing.
- Shortlisted candidates may be asked to complete a short scripting assignment.
