The Sr. Program Coordinator (Outreach )and Empowerment Initiatives will lead and manage Kshamata’s outreach initiatives, working closely with women affected by gender-based violence in shelter homes, those released from shelter homes and in brothel and vulnerable communities. This role involves hands-on engagement with beneficiaries, strategic planning, program development, and team management to ensure effective delivery of services that promote empowerment and self-reliance.
Key Responsibilities:
Program Coordination and Development:
· Lead the design, implementation, and evaluation of outreach programs aimed at empowering women.
· Develop and maintain program plans, including objectives, activities, timelines, and budgets.
· Ensure programs are aligned with Kshamata’s mission and strategic goals.
Outreach and Engagement:
· Establish and maintain strong relationships with community organizations, local authorities, and other stakeholders.
· Conduct needs assessments to identify the needs and challenges of the target population.
· Implement outreach strategies to identify and engage women in need of support.
Skills Training and Livelihood initiatives’ delivery and management:
· Oversee the development and delivery of vocational training and livelihood initiatives.
· Ensure life skills training programs are comprehensive and tailored to the needs of the beneficiaries.
· Collaborate with vocational trainers, counselors, and external experts to enhance program quality.
Support and Empowerment:
· Provide hands-on support and mentorship to beneficiaries, fostering a supportive and empowering environment.
· Develop individual empowerment plans in collaboration with beneficiaries.
· Monitor progress and provide ongoing support to ensure successful transition to self-reliance.
Team and Program Development:
· Manage and mentor a team of outreach workers, trainers, and support staff.
· Conduct regular team meetings, provide guidance, and ensure effective communication.
· Facilitate professional development opportunities for team members.
· Participate in innovation efforts and breaking new ground through pilots within the outreach programme
Monitoring and Evaluation:
· Develop and implement monitoring and evaluation frameworks to measure program impact.
· Prepare and present regular reports on program activities, outcomes, and challenges.
· Use data and feedback to continuously improve program effectiveness.
Any other task/priority set by the management
Qualifications:
· Master’s degree in Social Work, Development Studies, Gender Studies, or a related field; Interested Individuals who not from Developmental field but have the passion and requisite skills can also apply.
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in program management, preferably in the field of gender-based violence or women’s empowerment.
· Proven experience in managing outreach programs and working directly with vulnerable populations.
· Strong leadership and team management skills.
· Excellent communication, interpersonal, and networking skills.
· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
· Demonstrated commitment to gender equality and women’s rights.
· Proficiency in local languages is an advantage.
