Job Summary
We are looking for an experienced and customer-focused Duty Manager to manage the smooth and efficient day-to-day operations of the cinema.
The Duty Manager will oversee Box Office, Concessions, Floors, Housekeeping and other operational areas, ensuring excellent customer service, operational efficiency, hygiene, safety, cash control, compliance and team productivity.
The incumbent will work under the guidance of the Cinema Manager and will be responsible for taking charge of cinema operations in the absence of the Cinema Manager.
Key Responsibilities
- Manage and supervise day-to-day cinema operations, employees, facilities and operational costs.
- Oversee Box Office, Concession, Floor and Housekeeping operations to ensure smooth service delivery.
- Conduct daily team briefings and communicate shift-wise targets, priorities and operational requirements.
- Monitor customer satisfaction and ensure high standards of guest service.
- Ensure proper staff grooming, discipline, attendance and performance.
- Prepare weekly manpower rosters and ensure optimum manpower utilization while controlling manpower costs.
- Manage daily cash operations including cash floats, cinema imprest, shift banking, reconciliation and shortage control.
- Ensure strict adherence to cash-handling procedures and prevent revenue leakage and pilferage.
- Monitor product and service quality, merchandising, cleanliness, sanitation and hygiene standards.
- Identify opportunities to reduce transaction time at Box Office and Concessions.
- Drive Food & Beverage sales through effective merchandising, suggestive selling and promotional initiatives.
- Maintain appropriate stock levels and participate in weekly inventory checks.
- Ensure all operational, statutory, legal and company compliance requirements are followed.
- Maintain required operational records and registers, including ticket, complimentary ticket, lost & found, customer feedback, spot-check and legal registers.
- Ensure cinema displays, commercial communication and promotional materials are updated and compliant.
- Coordinate with Programming, Marketing, Security, Housekeeping and other support functions as required.
- Conduct regular operational and print checks and ensure display and commercial compliance.
- Support employee orientation, training, coaching and performance management.
- Handle customer complaints and operational issues professionally and ensure timely resolution.
- Coordinate with local police and statutory authorities whenever required.
- Take complete operational responsibility for the cinema during assigned shifts.
- Maintain a hands-on approach and ensure smooth operations during peak periods, weekends and holidays.
- Perform any other operational responsibilities assigned by the Cinema Manager.

Candidate RequirementsEducation
- Graduate or Diploma in Hotel Management / Hospitality Management preferred.
Experience
- 3–4 years of experience at a supervisory level, preferably in:
- Cinema / Multiplex
- Hospitality / Hotels
- Retail
- Food & Beverage
- QSR
- Entertainment
- Customer Service
Candidates from a hospitality/F&B background with strong team-handling and customer-service experience are encouraged to apply.

What We Are Looking For
We are looking for a hands-on and result-oriented operations professional who can lead a team, manage customer expectations, control operational costs, maintain service standards and independently manage the cinema during a shift.

Pay: ₹31,000.00 - ₹38,000.00 per month
