Social Media Intern — Content strategy & Reels Editing

About the role
I’m looking for an intern to help create shoot edit and manage day-to-day content. This is hands-on, fast-paced work — you’ll be cutting reels, prepping posts, and keeping the page running smoothly.
What you’ll do
- Edit raw phone footage into finished reels — trim, sequence, add captions/text overlays as per strategy and content calender
- Keep edits simple and natural. We are not looking for heavy transitions, stock music swells, or over-produced content — the goal is authentic, not polished-corporate
- Post content on schedule and manage basic day-to-day account upkeep and communication
- Organize footage and assets so nothing gets lost between shoot and post
- Turn around a standard 60-second talking-head reel within 48 hours
What we’re looking for
- Comfortable with a phone-based editing app and canva. other suggestions are welcome
- Some portfolio or examples of reels you’ve edited, even personal ones — send links, not just a resume
- Understands Instagram formats, engagement strategy and format (reels, stories, carousels) and how they differ
- Reliable and fast — this role is measured on turnaround time and attention to detail
- Based in or able to work with Kolkata timings
