We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Ayurveda / Siddha Therapist with a minimum of 5 years of hands-on clinical experience in an Ayurveda or Siddha hospital. The ideal candidate should be skilled in performing traditional therapeutic treatments, maintaining high standards of patient care, and working closely with doctors to ensure effective treatment outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform Ayurveda and Siddha therapeutic procedures as prescribed by physicians.
- Administer therapies such as Abhyanga, Pizhichil, Njavarakizhi, Kizhi, Shirodhara, Vasti, Lepanam, Thokkanam, Varmam assistance, and other prescribed treatments.
- Prepare treatment rooms, herbal oils, medicinal powders, and therapy equipment before each session.
- Ensure patient comfort, safety, and hygiene throughout therapy sessions.
- Monitor patient responses during treatment and report observations to the consulting doctor.
- Maintain accurate treatment records and daily therapy documentation.
- Follow hospital protocols for sanitation, infection control, and equipment maintenance.
- Educate patients on post-treatment care and wellness practices as advised by the physician.
- Coordinate effectively with doctors, nursing staff, and the hospital administration.
- Uphold professional ethics, confidentiality, and quality standards in patient care.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma / Bachelor's Degree / Certified Course in Ayurveda Therapy or Siddha Therapy from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of experience in an Ayurveda or Siddha hospital.
- Strong knowledge of traditional Ayurvedic and Siddha treatment procedures.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a patient-focused, multidisciplinary healthcare environment.
- Physically fit to perform therapeutic procedures for extended periods.
- Knowledge of hygiene and infection control protocols.
Preferred Skills
- Experience in Panchakarma therapies.
- Knowledge of Varmam therapy assistance.
- Ability to communicate in Tamil; English communication is an added advantage.
- Excellent patient handling and counseling skills.
