About the Role
Are you a photographer and videographer who believes that a single picture or a short video clip can change a life? The Healer Foundation is looking for a unique, multi-talented Visual Storyteller & Field Documentarian.
This is not a traditional studio or corporate media job. You will be the visual voice of our foundation on the ground. You will drive out to remote villages, build genuine bonds with communities, find the hidden human stories, and capture high-quality photo and video content that connects our donors directly to the impact of their support.
Key Responsibilities
- On-Field Content Creation: Drive to various project sites and villages to shoot high-quality, emotionally resonant photographs and short-form videos (reels, updates, testimonials).
- Community Relationship Building: Spend time interacting with villagers, listening to their journeys, and establishing a safe, respectful bond so they feel comfortable sharing their stories on camera.
- Donor-Connect Deliverables: Capture personalized messages, birthday wishes, milestone celebrations, and expressions of gratitude from village families specifically curated for our donors.
- Mobile Editing & Quick Delivery: Efficiently edit photos and short video clips (using mobile apps or basic desktop software) for quick sharing via WhatsApp updates and social media channels.
- Event & Awareness Documentation: Document village-level events, distribution drives, and community awareness programs (such as women’s empowerment and education workshops) as they happen.
Required Skills & Qualifications
- Technical Media Skills: Proven experience in both photography and videography. You must understand framing, lighting, and audio capture in unpredictable, outdoor, and rural environments.
- Mobility & Driving: Must possess a valid Four-Wheeler Driver’s License and be highly confident driving a vehicle to rural areas with challenging road conditions.
- Community & People Skills: Deep empathy, patience, and excellent conversational skills. You must know how to make people from diverse socio-economic backgrounds feel relaxed and respected in front of a camera.
- Resourcefulness: A true "social-work mindset." You are comfortable working under the sun, managing crowds, and adapting to changing situations on the field.
- Portfolio: A portfolio or sample links showcasing your ability to capture human-centric stories, emotions, or community events.
