SERVICE - CAPTAIN
Key Responsibilities
- Welcome guests and ensure a warm, professional dining experience.
- Supervise and guide stewards and waiters during service.
- Allocate tables and manage seating arrangements.
- Take guest orders when required and ensure timely service.
- Coordinate with the kitchen and bar for smooth order execution.
- Handle guest complaints politely and resolve issues promptly.
- Ensure food and beverages are served according to hotel standards.
- Monitor staff grooming, hygiene, and punctuality.
- Conduct pre-shift briefings and assign daily duties.
- Ensure cleanliness of the restaurant, service stations, and equipment.
- Maintain proper stock of cutlery, crockery, linen, and service supplies.
- Assist in training new employees on service standards and SOPs.
- Prepare daily reports and communicate operational updates to the Restaurant Manager.
Required Qualifications
- Diploma or Degree in Hotel Management or Hospitality.
- Minimum 2 years of experience as a Senior Steward or 1 year as a Service Captain in a hotel or restaurant.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong leadership and team management abilities.
- Knowledge of food & beverage service standards.
- Ability to work flexible shifts, weekends, and public holidays.
