Job Summary
We are seeking a motivated and results-oriented Sales Engineer to promote and sell water treatment systems, equipment, and solutions to industrial and commercial customers. The ideal candidate should possess strong technical knowledge, excellent communication skills, and the ability to identify customer requirements and propose suitable solutions.
Education
- Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering.
- Additional certification in water treatment or environmental engineering is an advantage.
Experience
- Minimum 1 year of experience in sales, application engineering, or technical support related to water treatment, pumps, filtration, RO plants, STP/ETP, or industrial process equipment.
- Freshers with strong technical knowledge may be considered for trainee roles (optional).
Key Roles & Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain relationships with industrial, commercial, and institutional customers.
- Identify new business opportunities and generate sales leads for water treatment products and projects.
- Understand customer requirements and recommend suitable water treatment solutions.
- Prepare technical and commercial proposals, quotations, and tender documents.
- Conduct site visits to assess customer requirements and gather technical information.
- Coordinate with design, engineering, and project teams for solution development.
- Deliver product presentations, technical demonstrations, and customer meetings.
- Negotiate pricing, commercial terms, and close sales opportunities.
- Follow up on quotations and ensure timely conversion of inquiries into orders.
- Coordinate with customers during project execution and ensure customer satisfaction.
- Maintain accurate sales forecasts, CRM records, and weekly activity reports.
- Monitor market trends, competitor activities, and emerging technologies in water treatment.
- Participate in exhibitions, seminars, and customer engagement activities.
- Achieve assigned monthly and annual sales targets.
- Provide after-sales support and coordinate with service teams when required.
Required Skills
- Good understanding of water treatment technologies such as:
- Reverse Osmosis (RO)
- Ultra Filtration (UF)
- Softeners
- DM Plants
- ETP/STP
- Filtration Systems
- Strong technical aptitude with the ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams, and technical specifications.
- Excellent communication, presentation, and negotiation skills.
- Ability to prepare technical proposals and cost estimates.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, PowerPoint).
- Familiarity with CRM software is preferred.
- Willingness to travel for customer visits and site inspections.
Preferred Candidate Profile
- Bachelor of Engineering (Mechanical or Chemical Engineering).
- Minimum 1 year of experience in water treatment sales or related industrial equipment sales.
- Self-motivated with strong customer relationship management skills.
- Good analytical and problem-solving abilities.
- Valid driving license is preferred (if frequent travel is required).

- Achievement of monthly and annual sales targets.

- Conversion rate of inquiries to confirmed orders.

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
