Overview:
We are seeking an experienced Design & Release Engineer (DRE) with expertise in automotive switch systems development. The candidate will be responsible for the design, development, integration, validation, and release of vehicle switch components, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, timing, and performance targets.
Responsibilities:
- Lead development activities for automotive switch systems including driver, passenger, and auxiliary switches.

Manage component design, packaging, engineering changes, validation, and product release activities.

Coordinate with cross-functional teams, suppliers, and stakeholders throughout the product development lifecycle.

Support vehicle integration, prototype builds, testing, and issue resolution.

Ensure compliance with applicable automotive standards, regulations, and development processes.

Prepare and maintain engineering documentation, technical specifications, and release packages.

Drive cost, quality, weight, and performance improvements for assigned components.

Support APQP, DFMEA, validation, and change management activities.
Qualifications:
B.E./B.Tech/M.E./M.Tech in Mechanical, Electrical, Electronics, Electronics & Communication, or related engineering disciplines.
Essential skills:
- Strong experience in automotive switch system development and integration.

Good understanding of electrical architecture, circuit diagrams, and vehicle-level requirements.

Hands-on experience in CATIA or NX for CAD design and packaging activities.

Knowledge of product development processes, validation, and release management.

Experience working with suppliers and cross-functional engineering teams.

Familiarity with PLM tools such as Teamcenter is preferred.
