Somatheeram Ayurvedic Hospital & Yoga Centre, an internationally acclaimed Ayurveda hospital set in a resort ambiance, is seeking courteous, energetic, and guest-oriented F&B Attendants (Male/Female) to support smooth and efficient food and beverage operations. The role involves welcoming and assisting guests, taking and serving food and beverage orders, maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in dining areas, coordinating with the kitchen and service team, and ensuring attentive and personalized service while upholding the resort’s high standards of hospitality, service excellence, and Ayurvedic wellness.
Key Responsibilities :
- Greet guests warmly, present menus, and provide information about daily specials, menu changes, and available food and beverage options.
- Take accurate food and beverage orders using order pads or the Point of Sale (POS) system, ensuring all guest preferences and special requirements are clearly recorded.
- Recommend suitable food and beverages to guests and apply appropriate upselling techniques to enhance the guest experience and maximize revenue.
- Serve food and beverages promptly and professionally according to the sequence of service and established service standards.
- Communicate with guests, respond to their queries, and promptly attend to additional requests to ensure guest satisfaction.
- Coordinate effectively with the kitchen, bar staff, and buspersons to ensure smooth restaurant operations and timely service.
- Observe guests throughout the dining experience and ensure their satisfaction with food, beverages, and service.
- Maintain proper dining standards by replenishing utensils, refilling glasses, clearing courses, offering desserts and beverages, and attending to guests’ needs.
- Process guest payments, issue receipts, collect and return change accurately, and handle financial transactions responsibly.
- Prepare and serve basic mixed drinks and assist with tableside wine service as required.
- Perform basic cleaning and housekeeping tasks and maintain cleanliness, hygiene, and proper presentation of the restaurant and service areas.
- Assist with maintaining restaurant par stock levels, side stations, and service supplies in coordination with buspersons and the service team.
- Support other restaurant operations as required, including answering telephone calls and assisting with general guest enquiries.
- Understand and effectively communicate the resort’s products, services, facilities, and wellness offerings to guests.
- Possess basic knowledge of food preparation and cooking to effectively understand and communicate menu items to guests.
- Maintain professional grooming, personal hygiene, and appearance in accordance with resort standards.
- Fill in for absent team members and support other areas of the restaurant as directed by the supervisor.
- Prepare and print the daily closing report and ensure cash is properly handed over to the Front Office/Accounts Department.
- Reconcile daily credit card settlements with the batch closing report from the EDC machine and report any discrepancies to the concerned department.
- Close the assigned shift on the POS terminal accurately at the end of the shift.
