Summary:
The Construction Supervisor is responsible for overseeing on-site construction activities, ensuring projects are completed safely, on time, and within budget. This role involves managing workers, coordinating with contractors, and maintaining quality and safety standards at the construction site.
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise daily construction site operations and workforce
- Plan, schedule, and assign tasks to workers and subcontractors
- Ensure work is executed as per drawings, specifications, and project timelines
- Monitor progress and prepare daily/weekly reports
- Enforce safety regulations and ensure use of protective equipment
- Inspect work quality and ensure compliance with standards
- Coordinate with engineers, architects, and project managers
- Manage materials, tools, and equipment on-site
- Resolve on-site issues, delays, or conflicts
- Ensure proper documentation and site records are maintained
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Diploma/Degree in Civil Engineering or related field
- 3–4years of experience in construction/site supervision
- Strong knowledge of construction processes and materials
- Ability to read and interpret drawings and blueprints
- Leadership and team management skills
- Good communication and problem-solving abilities
- Knowledge of safety regulations and site practices
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience in residential/commercial/industrial projects
- Familiarity with project management tools/software
- Certification in construction safety (if applicable)
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, site-based role
- May require extended hours or weekend work
- Exposure to outdoor conditions and construction environment
