Job Title: Professor/ Associate or Assistant Professor
Department: Soil Science in Agricultural Science
Key Responsibilities
- Teach undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Soil Science.
- Develop lesson plans, course materials, and laboratory exercises.
- Guide students in research projects, internships, and dissertations.
- Conduct research and publish in peer-reviewed journals.
- Apply for funded research projects and collaborate with academic and industry partners.
- Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, and practical assessments.
- Participate in curriculum development and accreditation activities.
- Organize seminars, workshops, conferences, and extension programs.
- Perform academic, examination, and administrative duties assigned by the department.
Qualifications
- Doctorate (Ph.D.) in Soil Science and Agricultural chemistry.
- Must meet the applicable UGC/ICAR/AICTE eligibility norms, as relevant to the institution.
Experience
- Teaching and/or research experience in Soil Science is preferred.
- Candidates with quality research publications and funded project experience will be given preference.
Required Skills
- Strong knowledge of Soil Science and related agricultural disciplines.
- Excellent teaching, communication, and mentoring skills.
- Research and scientific writing abilities.
- Ability to use modern teaching methods and laboratory equipment.
- Good organizational and interpersonal skills.
