Gynecology Registrar / Obstetrics & Gynecology Registrar

Reporting To
Senior Consultant / Head of Department
Key ResponsibilitiesClinical Duties
- Examine and diagnose gynecological and obstetric patients
- Manage antenatal, postnatal, and labor ward patients
- Conduct normal deliveries and assist in cesarean sections
- Handle gynecological emergencies
- Perform minor and major gynecological procedures
- Monitor high-risk pregnancies
- Prescribe medications and treatment plans
- Maintain accurate patient records
Surgical Responsibilities
- Assist consultants during surgeries
- Perform procedures such as:
- Dilation & Curettage (D&C)
- Hysteroscopy
- Tubectomy
- Emergency obstetric procedures
- Ensure pre-operative and post-operative patient care
Emergency & On-call Duties
- Attend emergency calls in labor room and emergency department
- Manage obstetric complications
- Stabilize critical patients before consultant review
Administrative Duties
- Prepare case summaries and discharge reports
- Maintain departmental documentation
- Participate in audits and quality improvement activities
- Coordinate with nursing and anesthesia teams
Teaching & Training
- Train interns and junior residents
- Participate in CMEs, seminars, and academic discussions
- Present case studies and journal reviews
Required Qualifications
- MBBS degree
- MD/MS/DNB in Obstetrics & Gynecology (or pursuing, depending on hospital requirements)
- Valid medical registration with medical council

Pay: ₹25,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
