Role Overview
As a new member of the healthcare team, the Nurse Intern evaluates patient health problems and needs, develops and implements individual care plans, and maintains detailed medical records. Administering medications, monitoring vital signs, assisting physicians during procedures, and educating patients and their families regarding post-discharge care are central to daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct detailed initial and ongoing physical, psychological, and social assessments of outpatients.
- Continuously monitor, record, and evaluate vital signs, BMI, and clinical indicators.
- Assist medical staff during bedside procedures, diagnostic tests, sterile dressings, and line placements.
- Provide advanced wound care, manage peripheral and central IV lines, maintain catheters, drains, and tubes according to infection control standards.
- Maintain precise, real-time, and legally compliant documentation of all nursing assessments and interventions.
- Adhere strictly to institutional infection control practices (ICP), standard precautions, hand hygiene, and PPE guidelines.
- Conduct thorough, structured handoff reports at shift changes to ensure seamless transition and safety.
- Maintain patient data and diagrams.
- Preferably well-versed in English communication.
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Nursing or a related field.
- Freshers (with internship experience) or up to 1 year experience.
- Active, unencumbered state license as a Registered Nurse (RN) in good standing.
- Preferably having current Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.
- Demonstrated expertise in IV therapy, medication administration, vital monitoring, and EHR software utilization.
Pay: ₹8,000.00 - ₹10,000.00 per month
