We specialize in the manufacture of alkylating intermediates — critical building blocks used in the synthesis of APIs by pharmaceutical and bulk drug companies across India.
Though new as a company, our promoters bring decades of hands-on experience in chemical manufacturing, hazardous chemical handling, and industrial operations. This gives us a strong operational foundation from day one.

Job Description
We are looking for a driven, self-motivated Sales Manager to take complete ownership of sales for our bulk pharmaceutical intermediates business. This is not a retail or formulations role — we sell bulk chemicals in large quantities (tonnes) to pharmaceutical manufacturers, API producers, and bulk drug companies. The candidate must understand bulk chemical sales — pricing per kg, volume-based negotiations, logistics, and long-term supply relationships.
This role operates on a commission-heavy compensation structure — a fixed base salary plus sales commission on every order you bring in. The more you sell, the more you earn. If you are confident in your ability to sell bulk chemicals and pharma intermediates, this structure rewards your performance directly.
You will be the single point of contact between the company and our customers. From identifying new buyers to managing existing accounts, from negotiating bulk pricing to ensuring repeat business — all aspects of sales are your responsibility. Your success is the company's growth.
We need someone who knows the bulk chemical and pharma intermediate market, understands how procurement works at API and bulk drug companies, and can convert enquiries into consistent, high-volume business.
Key Responsibilities
Sales & Revenue Generation
- Take full ownership of achieving monthly, quarterly, and annual sales targets set by management — this is the most important deliverable of the role
- Sell bulk pharmaceutical intermediates (alkylating agents) to API manufacturers, bulk drug makers, custom synthesis houses, and pharma companies across India
- Identify, approach, and convert new bulk buyers; build a strong pipeline of volume customers
- Negotiate bulk pricing, payment terms, and supply contracts — understand cost structures, market rates, and volume-based pricing
- Generate repeat orders and grow volumes with existing customers over time
- Track and report sales numbers vs. targets to management on a weekly basis
Customer Relationship & Account Management
- Be the single point of contact for all customers — from first enquiry to order delivery and beyond
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with procurement heads, sourcing teams, and decision makers at customer companies
- Handle customer complaints, quality feedback, and delivery issues promptly and professionally
- Maintain regular follow-ups with all active and dormant accounts; no customer should go unattended
- Understand each customer's product requirements, consumption volumes, and buying cycles to anticipate demand and secure annual or long-term supply commitments
Market Development & Industry Knowledge
- Develop deep knowledge of the bulk pharmaceutical intermediates market — who buys, at what volumes, pricing benchmarks, competitor landscape, and demand cycles
- Identify new market segments and end-use applications for our alkylating intermediates
- Attend industry exhibitions, trade shows, and pharma/chemical conferences (e.g., ChemSpec, CPhI, CPHI India) to generate leads and build company visibility
- Provide market intelligence — competitor pricing, new entrants, customer feedback — to management to help shape product and pricing strategy
Coordination & Documentation
- Coordinate with plant/production team to ensure timely manufacturing and dispatch against confirmed orders
- Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions, quotations, orders, and payments
- Follow up on payments and outstanding receivables; ensure healthy cash flow from your accounts
- Prepare and submit regular sales reports, customer visit reports, and pipeline updates
Compensation Structure
This is a commission-based role with a fixed base salary component:
- Fixed monthly base salary
- Sales commission on every order closed — directly linked to your sales volume and value
- Higher sales = higher earnings; there is no cap on commission
- The structure is designed to reward results — if you deliver bulk volumes, you earn well
Qualification & Experience
- Graduate / B.Sc. / B.E. in Chemistry, Chemical Engineering, or Pharmacy (preferred)
- Minimum 5–10 years of sales experience specifically in bulk chemicals, pharmaceutical intermediates, or bulk drug industry
- Must understand bulk chemical sales — pricing per kg, volume negotiations, supply contracts, logistics of bulk dispatch
- Proven track record of achieving sales targets and growing customer accounts in a B2B bulk chemical environment
- Existing network or relationships with pharma companies, API manufacturers, or bulk drug buyers is a strong advantage
Skills Required
- B2B bulk chemical sales and business development
- Customer relationship management for volume accounts
- Bulk pricing negotiation, contract handling, and deal closing
- Market research and competitor analysis in the chemical/pharma space
- Strong communication — confident in meetings, calls, and presentations
- Gujarati, Hindi, and English communication
- Self-driven; does not need constant supervision to perform
Preferred Candidate
- Someone who has sold bulk chemicals before and knows the difference between selling tonnes vs. selling kgs
- Has an existing network in the pharmaceutical, API, or bulk drug industry
- Hungry to sell and earn — the commission structure excites them, not scares them
- Comfortable with travel across Gujarat and India for customer visits and trade shows
- Takes ownership of the number — if the target is not met, they find a way, not an excuse
- Honest and transparent in all dealings with customers and the company
