Job Details
The NPD Lead will be responsible for overseeing the end-to-end process of New product development fro Cluster 1. The ideal candidate will have extensive knowledge of New product development, Jewellery production, strong vendor management skills, and a keen eye for detail to ensure the highest standards of quality and craftsmanship.
New Product Development:
- Entire New product development process from design to final prototyping.
- Develop and implement product development schedules to meet DEC/Category demands
- Coordinate with NPI team for DEC related proto development
- Ensure New product selection rate and Hitrate from Retail and Merchandising.
Delivery:
- Implement development plans and ensure delivery adherence to production standards and procedures.
- Collaborate with other departments such as NPI, Planning, Upstream and downstream and quality control to coordinate production activities and resolve any issues that may arise.
- Analyse proto development data and lead time metrics to assess performance and identify opportunities for optimization.
Quality Assurance:
- Implement and maintain rigorous quality control measures to guarantee the highest standards in finished products in all New products.
- Collaborate with the quality control team to conduct regular inspections and address any issues affecting product.
- Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards in all production activities.
Cost Management & Inventory:
- Monitor production costs and implement cost-saving measures without compromising quality.
- Manage inventory levels of raw materials and finished goods to support production schedules and minimize excess inventory.
- Implement strategies to enhance productivity, reduce gold removal, and improve overall efficiency in the production process.

Work Experience
Job Requirements
Education
- BE Mechanical / Production Engineering
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in jewellery New product development, particularly with Daily wear type products.
Relevant Experience
- Proven experience in Jewellery New product development or a similar role within the jewellery industry.
- In-depth knowledge of Daily wear NPD techniques and materials.
- Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
- Excellent attention to detail and quality assurance abilities.
