B. Tech Electrooptical and Electronics Eng
3 to 10 years of total experience in Software Development, manual testing and Test Automation.
Design and Execution of Test Cases with ISTQB Certification.
Knowledge on Substation Automation, Power grid, Mirco grid, and EV charger Domain would be preferable.
Good knowledge in protocol like IEC61850. 104, Modbus , DNP3
Exposure to Testing Methodologies and awareness of the Test Execution Process would be good to have.
Knowledge of implementing various testing methodologies, test automation tools.
Script Languages - Python, Java script
Good exposure of Software development lifecycle and defect management life cycle.
Good exposure of Requirement Engineering; Requirement and test coverage.
Involves interacting with electronic devices.
Experience of using virtual machine (VMware, Hyper-V or Oracle virtual box)
Good knowledge of Server Operating System.
Good knowledge of web server, Rest API, OPC/UA, Client/Server Architecture, Distributed Architecture.
Know-how to network vulnerability detection and security testing.
Nice To Have :
- Knowledge of SIEMENS products.
- Knowledge of Industrial automation devices.
- Basic knowledge of SCADA/ HMI/TIA software.
- CCNA Certified network engineer.
- ISTQB Certification.
- Test automation programming using Selenium, QTP etc.
Responsibilities:
Requirement Analysis & Domain Understanding
Analyze business requirements, functional specifications, and use‑case documents to understand domain workflows and system behavior.
Develop deep knowledge of domain rules, industry standards, and regulatory requirements.
Identify ambiguities or gaps in requirements and collaborate with Business Analysts, Product Owners, and developers for clarification.
Test Planning & Design
Create detailed test plans, test strategies, and test scenarios tailored to domain‑specific business processes.
Develop comprehensive test cases (functional, integration, regression, and end‑to‑end) aligned with domain logic.
Prepare and maintain test data based on business rules, domain models, and edge cases.
Test Execution
Execute manual test cases, validate functional behavior, and ensure compliance with domain requirements.
Perform smoke, functional, integration, regression, exploratory, and user acceptance testing (UAT).
Validate data mapping, domain rules, calculations, and workflow processing across modules.
Defect Tracking & Quality Assurance
Identify, log, and track defects with clear reproduction steps and domain‑specific context.
Collaborate with developers to ensure issues are understood and fixed accurately.
Retest defect fixes and ensure no domain workflow is impacted.
Documentation & Reporting
Document test results, status reports, and user‑facing test evidence.
Maintain test artifacts (test cases, checklists, scenarios) in test management tools.
Provide daily/weekly test execution reports for stakeholders.
? Collaboration & Review
Work closely with domain SMEs, Product Owners, and QA leads to ensure test coverage.
Participate in requirement walkthroughs, design reviews, and sprint ceremonies.
Provide UAT support to business teams and address domain-related queries.
Process Improvement
Suggest improvements to test processes, domain workflows, and quality practices.
Identify test case redundancies and optimize regression suites.
Contribute to knowledge sharing through domain-specific documentation and training.
Continuous Learning
Stay updated on domain trends, industry regulations, and new system enhancements.
Learn and adapt to new testing tools, methodologies, and best practices.
Support automation team by providing high-quality test scenarios and domain clarifications (if applicable).
