Summary:
As a Custom Software Engineer, your day involves creating tailored software solutions by designing, coding, and improving various components within systems or applications. You engage in collaborative environments that embrace modern frameworks and agile methodologies to ensure the delivery of scalable and efficient software. Your work focuses on meeting unique business requirements by continuously refining and enhancing software performance and functionality, contributing to the overall success of projects and organizational goals.
Roles & Responsibilities:
- Expected to perform independently and become an SME.
- Refactor Gateway APIs to use-case-specific contracts, migrate routing to AWS API GW, build Databricks integration endpoints.
- Required active participation/contribution in team discussions.
- Contribute in providing solutions to work related problems.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather and analyze requirements for custom software development.
- Assist in documenting technical specifications and design decisions to support project transparency and knowledge sharing.
- Support junior team members by providing guidance and sharing best practices to foster professional growth.
Professional & Technical Skills:
- Must To Have Skills: Proficiency in Scala.
- Good To Have Skills: Experience with PostgreSQL, API Management, AWS Administration.
- Strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles and functional programming concepts.
- Experience in developing and maintaining scalable backend services and APIs.
- Familiarity with version control systems and continuous integration/continuous deployment pipelines.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following industry best practices.
Additional Information:
- The candidate should have minimum 3 years of experience in Scala.
- This position is based at our Pune office.
