Summary: We are seeking a skilled Desktop Support Engineer to join our IT team. The Desktop Support Engineer will be responsible for providing technical assistance and support to end-users for desktop hardware, software, and network-related issues. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, strong problem-solving abilities, and a customer-oriented approach to resolving technical issues.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide first-level technical support to end-users via phone, email, or in-person.
2. Install, configure, and troubleshoot desktop hardware, operating systems, and software applications.
3. Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues promptly, ensuring minimal downtime for end-users.
4. Collaborate with other IT team members to escalate and resolve complex technical problems.
5. Set up and maintain user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
6. Perform system upgrades, patches, and preventive maintenance tasks.
7. Conduct hardware and software inventory management and asset tracking.
8. Ensure compliance with IT policies, procedures, and security standards.
9. Assist in the implementation of IT projects, such as system upgrades or migrations.
10. Provide training and guidance to end-users on IT-related topics and best practices.
Requirements:
1. Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
2. Proven experience in desktop support or IT helpdesk role.
3. Proficiency in troubleshooting Windows and/or Mac OS environments.
4. Strong knowledge of desktop hardware components, peripherals, and networking concepts.
5. Familiarity with ticketing systems for incident tracking and resolution.
6. Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with the ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users.
7. Customer-focused attitude with a commitment to delivering high-quality support services.
8. Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.

Pay: ₹30,000.00 - ₹32,000.00 per month
