Position Overview
We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to independently manage and oversee the company’s finance function in Zimbabwe.
The role will primarily focus on financial planning, forecasting, cash-flow management, banking relationships, financial analysis, cost control, cost-saving initiatives, budgeting and providing financial insights to management.
The ideal candidate should be commercially strong and capable of managing the company's financial position and supporting management in key financial decisions.
Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Planning & Forecasting
- Prepare and manage monthly, quarterly and annual financial forecasts.
- Develop financial plans and budgets based on business requirements.
- Analyze actual financial performance against budgets and forecasts.
- Identify financial risks, gaps and opportunities and provide recommendations to management.
- Prepare financial projections for business expansion and future investments.
Cash Flow & Fund Management
- Manage the company's overall cash flow and liquidity position.
- Prepare short-term and long-term cash-flow forecasts.
- Plan fund requirements based on operational and business needs.
- Monitor cash inflows and outflows and ensure optimum utilization of funds.
- Identify opportunities to improve working capital and cash availability.
Banking & Relationship Management
- Manage the company's relationship with banks and financial institutions.
- Handle banking-related requirements, documentation and negotiations.
- Monitor bank accounts, balances, fund transfers and banking transactions.
- Coordinate with banks for facilities, payment arrangements and other financial requirements.
- Regularly update management on the company's banking and financial position.
Cost Control & Cost Saving
- Identify opportunities for cost reduction, cost optimization and financial efficiency.
- Analyze major business expenses and identify unnecessary or avoidable costs.
- Develop and implement cost-control measures.
- Monitor spending against budgets and investigate significant variances.
- Work with management and operational teams to achieve measurable cost savings.
Financial Analysis & MIS
- Prepare financial analysis and management reports for decision-making.
- Analyze profitability, margins, expenses, cash flow and working capital.
- Provide management with regular updates on the company's financial position.
- Identify trends and provide actionable financial recommendations.
- Evaluate the financial impact of major business decisions.
Investment & Business Finance
- Support management in evaluating new investments, projects and business opportunities.
- Prepare financial feasibility analysis and projections.
- Assess expected returns, financial risks and funding requirements.
- Provide financial recommendations for business expansion and strategic decisions.
Financial Controls
- Establish and monitor effective financial controls.
- Ensure proper monitoring and utilization of company funds.
- Identify financial leakages, inefficiencies and potential risks.
- Ensure appropriate financial approval and control mechanisms are followed.
Candidate Profile
- CA / CMA / MBA Finance / M.Com or equivalent qualification preferred.
- 8–12+ years of strong core finance experience.
- Candidates from a Finance Manager, Senior Finance Manager, Financial Controller, FP&A Manager or similar core-finance role are preferred.

Important Preference
Indian candidates willing to relocate to Zimbabwe are preferred. Candidates willing to relocate with their family for a long-term assignment will be given preference.
Ideal Candidate
We are specifically looking for a core Finance professional, not primarily an Accounts professional. The candidate should be strong in finance planning, forecasting, cash management, banking, cost optimization, financial analysis and strategic financial decision-making.
