Job Summary
The Assistant Store Manager is responsible for supporting the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, inventory management, stock control, and team supervision. The role ensures the availability of materials, accurate record-keeping, proper storage practices, and compliance with company standards.
Key Responsibilities
Assist in managing daily store operations and inventory activities.
Monitor stock levels and ensure timely replenishment of materials.
Verify inward and outward stock movements and maintain accurate records.
Conduct regular stock audits and physical inventory checks.
Ensure proper storage, labeling, and handling of all materials.
Coordinate with purchasing, production, and other departments regarding material requirements.
Prepare daily, weekly, and monthly inventory reports.
Monitor expiry dates and ensure timely disposal of expired or damaged items.
Supervise store staff and allocate daily responsibilities.
Maintain cleanliness, safety, and organization within the store.
Ensure compliance with company policies and standard operating procedures.
Support the Store Manager in achieving operational and inventory control objectives.
Requirements
Bachelor's Degree or Diploma in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, Commerce, or a related field.
Minimum 2–5 years of experience in store or inventory management.
Knowledge of inventory control systems and ERP/software-based stock management.
Proficiency in MS Excel and inventory reporting.
Strong organizational and leadership skills.
Good communication and problem-solving abilities.
Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
Preferred Skills
Experience in the hospitality, food production, or retail industry.
Knowledge of FIFO, FEFO, and inventory management best practices.
Team management and coordination skills.
