Job Brief
We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Hospital Canteen Supervisor to oversee all aspects of our hospital’s dietary services on contractual or Salary basis. The responsibilities include managing the food service staff, ensuring compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations, coordinating with medical staff for patient diets, budgeting, and maintaining high quality standards for all meals prepared.
Our ideal candidate has a comprehensive understanding of dietary needs in a healthcare setting and possesses excellent leadership skills.
Responsibilities
Manage the operation of the hospital’s food service department.
Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation regulations.
Coordinate with medical staff to understand and cater to specific dietary needs of patients.
Manage food service budgets and inventory.
Recruit, train and supervise food service staff.
Plan and develop menus in accordance with nutritional and budgetary constraints.
Monitor and maintain quality control standards.
Implement and enforce health and safety regulations.
Resolve any issues or complaints related to the food service.
Qualifications
Proven work experience as a Food Service Manager, preferably in a healthcare setting.
Knowledge of dietary requirements and restrictions for various medical conditions.
Experience with food preparation, food safety, and sanitation regulations.
Strong leadership and interpersonal skills.
Ability to manage a budget and inventory.
Local person preferable
