About the Role:
We are looking for a highly skilled Software Development Engineer in Test (SDET) who is passionate about delivering high-quality software through a combination of strong development and testing expertise. The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, developing, and maintaining scalable automation frameworks, ensuring product quality across UI and API layers, and driving continuous quality improvements throughout the software development lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities:
- Design, develop, and maintain robust test automation frameworks from scratch, including reusable components, reporting mechanisms, and best practices.
- Build and maintain UI automation suites using Playwright, ensuring stability, scalability, and minimal test flakiness.
- Develop and execute API automation tests for RESTful services, covering functional, integration, negative, and contract testing scenarios.
- Perform manual testing and exploratory testing for complex workflows when required.
- Create comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test strategies using industry-standard test design techniques.
- Integrate automated test suites into GitHub-based CI/CD pipelines and ensure seamless execution within deployment workflows.
- Generate and maintain test reports, dashboards, and quality metrics to support release readiness and quality assessments.
- Collaborate closely with Developers, Product Managers, DevOps Engineers, and Business Stakeholders to identify, reproduce, and resolve defects.
- Support test environments and automation execution within AWS cloud environments.
- Conduct basic performance testing to identify bottlenecks and validate application responsiveness.
- Drive quality engineering initiatives, including shift-left testing, flaky test reduction, and continuous improvement of testing practices.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Strong hands-on experience in both Manual Testing and Automation Testing.
- Proven expertise in Playwright for UI automation.
- Strong experience with API Testing using REST/JSON services.
- Hands-on experience with tools such as:
- Postman
- Insomnia
- RestAssured
- Python Requests Library
- Strong programming skills in Java and Python.
- Good understanding of Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC) and Software Testing Life Cycle (STLC).
- Experience working in Agile/Scrum environments.
- Familiarity with test frameworks, reporting tools, and defect management processes.
- Experience with GitHub, version control systems, and CI/CD implementation.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience working with AWS Cloud Services.
- Exposure to performance testing tools and concepts.
- Proven experience in building automation frameworks from scratch.
- Understanding of modern Quality Engineering practices including:

What We're Looking For:
We are seeking a quality-focused professional who can take ownership of testing initiatives, build scalable automation solutions, and collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams to ensure reliable and high-quality software releases.
Pay: ₹100,000.00 - ₹110,000.00 per year
