Job Title: Site Supervisor
Department: Installation and Commissioning
Location: Chennai (Travel to Project Sites Required)
Reporting To: Project Manager / Operations Manager
Job Summary
We are looking for a responsible and hardworking Site Supervisor to supervise day-to-day site activities and ensure work is completed safely, on time, and as per quality standards. The candidate should be able to coordinate with clients, contractors, and the internal project team to ensure smooth execution of installation and commissioning activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise daily site activities and monitor work progress.
- Ensure installation and commissioning work is carried out as per approved drawings and specifications.
- Coordinate with clients, contractors, and internal departments.
- Allocate work to technicians and monitor their performance.
- Ensure safety procedures and PPE compliance at the work site.
- Maintain quality standards during installation and commissioning.
- Verify materials/equipment received at the site and report shortages.
- Prepare and submit daily site progress reports.
- Monitor manpower attendance and productivity.
- Report site issues, delays, and safety concerns to the Project Manager.
- Support project completion, testing, and handover activities.
Qualification
Diploma / B.E. in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
2–5 years of experience as a Site Supervisor in Installation and Commissioning.
Experience in Sheet Metal, Stainless Steel Cladding, Elevator & Escalator, or Interior Projects is preferred.
Skills Required
- Good communication and coordination skills.
- Ability to read engineering drawings and P&ID.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Excel & Word).
- Leadership and team management skills.
- Problem-solving ability.
- Knowledge of site safety practices and commissioning procedures.
- Willingness to travel to project sites.
Languages Required
English – Preferred
Hindi – Preferred
Tamil will be an added advantage
Salary
As per company standards and experience.
Pay: ₹18,000.00 - ₹35,000.00 per month
