Job Summary
The Painting QA is responsible for inspecting and verifying painting and coating activities to ensure they meet quality standards, customer specifications, and safety requirements. This role requires a minimum of 4 years of experience in painting, strong knowledge of surface preparation, and the ability to identify defects and ensure consistent finish quality.
Key Responsibilities

Inspect surface preparation activities before painting to ensure compliance with requirements

Involve in customer offering of painted job as per client approved ITP.

Verify paint application quality, including thickness, coverage, adhesion, and finish
-
Check for surface defects such as rust, contamination, uneven coating, runs, blisters, or peeling
-
Ensure painting work follows approved standards, work instructions, and customer specifications

Conduct in-process and final quality inspections of painted components or structures
-
Monitor Ambient conditions once in 4 hours.

Document inspection results and report non-conformities or defects

Coordinate with painters, supervisors, and production teams to resolve quality issues

Verify the use of correct materials, tools, and coating systems

Support corrective and preventive actions for painting-related quality concerns

Maintain inspection records and quality documentation as required
Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s in engineering
-
Minimum 3 - 4 years of experience in painting related fields.
- Strong knowledge of surface preparation techniques

Experience in painting quality inspection or coating inspection

Ability to identify paint and coating defects

Understanding of painting standards, procedures, and inspection criteria

Good attention to detail and documentation skills

Ability to read and follow technical instructions and quality requirements
Preferred Qualifications

Experience in manufacturing production or manufacturing painting QA
-
Knowledge of coating thickness measurement, Surface profile measurement, adhesion testing and inspection methods

Understanding of safety practices related to painting and chemical handling

NACE 1 / BGAS Grade 2 will be an added advantage
