Job Summary
Commi I is responsible for assisting in food preparation and maintaining kitchen standards while ensuring quality, hygiene, and consistency. The role supports senior chefs in daily operations and contributes to smooth kitchen workflow.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist in preparation and cooking of dishes as per standard recipes and instructions from senior chefs.
- Ensure proper mise en place for assigned kitchen section.
- Maintain high standards of food quality, presentation, and portion control.
- Follow food safety, hygiene, and sanitation guidelines (HACCP standards).
- Ensure proper storage and labeling of food items.
- Maintain cleanliness of work area, utensils, and equipment.
- Support inventory control and minimize wastage.
- Assist in receiving and checking raw materials.
- Work collaboratively with kitchen team during service hours.
- Follow instructions from CDP/Sous Chef and maintain discipline in kitchen
- Basic culinary skills and knowledge of kitchen operations
- Understanding of food safety and hygiene standards
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Team player with good communication skills
- Attention to detail and willingness to learn
Qualifications & Experience
- Diploma or certification in Culinary Arts / Hotel Management preferred
- 1–3 years of experience in a similar role in hotels, hospitals, or restaurants
- Freshers with strong culinary training may be considered

Pay: ₹20,000.00 - ₹30,000.00 per month
