We are looking for a highly skilled Senior Backend Developer (Python) to join our engineering team in Chennai. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience building scalable backend systems, designing robust APIs, optimizing databases, and implementing secure development practices.

Key Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend applications and APIs using Python and FastAPI.
- Lead architectural discussions and contribute to technical decision-making.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions.
- Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks and code quality standards.
- Optimize database performance and ensure data integrity.
- Review code, mentor developers, and promote engineering best practices.
- Troubleshoot production issues and enhance system reliability.
- Continuously improve development processes, tools, and infrastructure.
Required Skills & Experience
✔ 7+ years of backend software development experience
✔ Expert proficiency in Python
✔ Strong experience with FastAPI and REST API development
✔ Hands-on experience with PostgreSQL, MySQL, MongoDB, Cassandra, or similar databases
✔ Strong understanding of Microservices and Distributed Systems
✔ Experience with Docker and Kubernetes
✔ Experience with Kafka, RabbitMQ, Redis, or similar technologies
✔ Proficiency with Git and CI/CD pipelines
✔ Excellent problem-solving and communication skills
Cybersecurity Knowledge (Must Have)
- Secure coding practices and OWASP Top 10 awareness
- Authentication and authorization implementation
- Understanding of CVEs and vulnerability management
- Threat intelligence and attack surface awareness
- Data encryption and secure data handling practices
- Security monitoring, logging, and auditing concepts
- Familiarity with SOC processes and incident response
Preferred Qualifications
- AWS, Azure, or GCP certifications
- Experience with Go, Java, or Node.js
- Event-driven architecture experience
- Open-source contributions
