Support the design, development, and improvement of innovative products, processes, and tooling in a manufacturing environment. Work closely with cross-functional teams to ensure solutions are manufacturable, cost-effective, and meet quality standards while applying core engineering principles in real-world product development.
Support the design and development of new products and enhancements to existing products using engineering principles.
Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering to analyze and improve processes for cost, quality, and efficiency.
Perform basic cost analysis and material evaluation using computer-aided design tools and engineering software.
Assist in make-versus-buy feasibility studies and prepare supporting documentation.
Create and process engineering change orders and maintain related documentation.
Support tolerance analysis, geometric dimensioning, and quality-related documentation.
Coordinate with suppliers during tooling and equipment development and support related activities.
Work with design and detailing teams to ensure proper form, fit, and function of product designs.
Assist in prototype development, test planning, and analysis of test results.
Participate in benchmarking activities to evaluate materials, processes, and product performance.
Help prepare justification documents such as requests for expenditure.
Collaborate with Quality Assurance teams to ensure compliance with product and process standards.
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Manufacturing, Product, Industrial Engineering, or a related field.
0 to 2 years of experience in product engineering or design-related roles.
Basic proficiency in computer-aided design tools such as AutoCAD, SolidWorks, or Creo.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to work effectively in a collaborative, development-focused team environment.
Exposure to academic projects, internships, or prototype development.
Basic understanding of tolerance analysis, geometric dimensioning, and engineering documentation (preferred).
Occasional travel to suppliers or tooling vendors as required.
