Job Summary
The Assistant Professor (English) is responsible for teaching English language and literature, enhancing students’ communication and critical thinking skills, and contributing to academic, research, and institutional development in accordance with UGC and affiliating university norms.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach UG/PG courses in English Language and Literature as per university syllabus.
- Prepare lesson plans, course files, teaching materials, and assessments.
- Conduct internal tests, assignments, seminars, and student evaluations.
- Train students in communication skills, soft skills, and academic writing.
- Guide students in projects, presentations, debates, and literary activities.
- Contribute to research, publications, and academic enrichment programs.
- Maintain academic records and support NAAC/IQAC documentation.
- Participate in departmental meetings and institutional committees.
Qualifications
- M.A. in English (Mandatory)
- NET/SET or Ph.D. as per UGC norms
- Teaching experience preferred (freshers may apply where permitted)
