Zamms Closet is looking for a creative, detail-oriented Fashion Designer Intern to join our team. If you have a passion for contemporary fashion, an eye for intricate textile crafts, and want hands-on experience in building an e-commerce fashion brand, this role is for you.
You will work closely with our design and management teams to help bring collections from initial concept to digital storefront. for 6 months
Key Responsibilities
- Design & Development: Assist in creating mood boards, sketching concepts, and developing technical packages (tech packs) for new apparel items.
- Textile & Craft Exploration: Assist in detailing intricate embellishments, traditional textile crafts, and fabric patterns (such as embroidery and surface ornamentation) for upcoming collections.
- E-commerce & Production Support: Collaborate with the team to ensure design specifications are maintained during sample production, and assist in preparing pieces for e-commerce catalog shoots.
- Trend Research: Keep a pulse on current market trends, color palettes, and consumer preferences to pitch fresh ideas for seasonal drops.
Qualifications & Skills
- Currently pursuing or recently graduated with a degree in Fashion Design, Textile Design, or a related field.
- Strong understanding of garment construction, pattern making, and fabric behavior.
- Proficiency in design tools like Adobe Illustrator and Photoshop for creating flats and digital illustrations or hand work also fine
- A sharp eye for detail, particularly regarding surface details, stitching, and garment finishing.
- Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset to thrive in a fast-paced boutique environment.
