To ensure smooth manufacturing operations by optimizing resources, scheduling production, and managing materials to meet customer delivery dates on time. This is a cross-functional leadership role connecting the shop floor, procurement, and management.
Key Responsibilities
- Production Planning & Scheduling: Develop daily, weekly, and monthly production schedules based on customer orders, plant capacity, and material availability.
- Material Planning & Inventory Control: Ensure raw materials and components are available when needed. Generate Purchase Requisitions (PRs) and coordinate with procurement to prevent production bottlenecks.
- Production Monitoring & Control: Track Work-In-Progress (WIP) against planned targets. Identify manufacturing delays and adjust schedules to meet shipping dates.
- Cross-Functional Coordination: Collaborate with Design, Quality, Stores, and Sales teams to clarify Bills of Materials (BOMs), resolve technical issues, and ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Continuous Improvement: Analyze production data (KPIs) to identify root causes of inefficiencies and drive cost-reduction or waste-minimization initiatives.
Essential Qualifications & Skills
- Education: Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Mechanical, Production, or Industrial Engineering.
- Experience: Typically 8-10 years of experience in production planning or supply chain management within a manufacturing environment.
- Technical Skills: Strong proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (e.g., SAP PP/MM modules), Advanced Excel, and reading technical blueprints or BOMs.
- Soft Skills: Excellent problem-solving, stakeholder management, and the ability to work under pressure
Pay: ₹50,000.00 - ₹60,000.00 per month
