Job Overview:
We are looking for a detailed-oriented and proactive Textile Merchandiser to join our team. In this role, you will be the core link between client expectations and manufacturing execution. Your primary focus will be driving Product Development (PD), managing buyer sampling programs, and overseeing end-to-end export production operations—including fabric outsourcing, quality control, cutting plans, and inventory reconciliation.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Product Development & Buyer Sampling
- Lead the product development cycle by working closely with design, sourcing, and client teams to turn concepts into market-ready samples.
- Coordinate with buyers to understand tech packs, design specs, fabric requirements, and timelines.
- Track, inspect, and dispatch all buyer samples (Proto, Fit, Salesman, Pre-Production/PP samples) ensuring strict adherence to buyer approvals and deadlines.
2. Production Planning & Outsourcing
- Source and manage external vendors/subcontractors for specialized processes (printing, dyeing, embroidery, or garment construction).
- Create and monitor critical paths (T&A calendars) for all export orders to ensure on-time delivery.
- Coordinate fabric and trim requirements, ensure timely procurement, and oversee delivery to production units.
3. Execution, Quality & Reconciliation
- Create and review cut plans to optimize fabric consumption and minimize wastage.
- Oversee quality control checks (AQL standards) across raw materials, inline production, and final packed goods prior to shipment.
- Perform post-production reconciliation (fabric consumption, leftover inventory, trim audits, and yield analysis) for every batch/order.
- Troubleshoot technical issues in fabric/garment construction during production to maintain quality standards.
- Coordinate with buyers to understand tech packs, design specs, fabric requirements, and timelines.

Qualifications:
- Experience: 2–5 years of experience in textile merchandising, specifically within export houses or garment manufacturing units.
- Education: Bachelor’s degree/Diploma in Textile Technology, Fashion Merchandising, Textile Engineering, or a related field.
- Technical Knowledge: Strong understanding of fabric constructions, dyeing/printing techniques, garment manufacturing, cut-plan optimization, and quality assurance methods.
- Analytical Skills: Excellent capability in fabric consumption calculation, wastage monitoring, and inventory reconciliation.
- Software: Proficiency in MS Excel (data management, reports) and ERP tools.
