Position Overview
We are looking for a proactive and hands-on Plant HR professional to manage end-to-end HR operations at the factory level. The role involves handling workforce management, employee engagement, statutory compliance, recruitment, attendance, discipline, and overall employee welfare to ensure smooth plant operations.
Key Responsibilities
HR Operations & Administration
Manage day-to-day HR activities at the plant/factory.
Maintain employee records, attendance, leave management, and HR documentation.
Handle onboarding, induction, and exit formalities for plant employees and workers.
Coordinate payroll inputs, overtime records, and shift management.
Recruitment & Workforce Management
Manage hiring for plant workers, supervisors, operators, and support staff.
Coordinate with manpower agencies and vendors for contract staffing.
Ensure proper workforce planning based on production requirements.
Employee Relations
Address employee grievances and maintain healthy employee relations.
Promote workplace discipline and adherence to company policies.
Conduct employee engagement activities and welfare initiatives.
Support in handling shop-floor communication and coordination.
Compliance & Statutory Requirements
Ensure compliance with labor laws, factory regulations, and statutory requirements.
Maintain records related to PF, ESI, attendance, contractor compliance, and audits.
Coordinate with safety and admin teams for workplace compliance and employee safety initiatives.
Performance & Training
Support performance management processes for plant employees.
Identify training needs and coordinate skill development programs.
Conduct HR awareness sessions and policy communication.
Required Skills & Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field.
MBA / PGDM in HR is preferred.
3–8 years of experience in Plant HR / Factory HR operations.
Good knowledge of labor laws and factory compliance.
Strong interpersonal and problem-solving skills.
Ability to handle workforce management in a manufacturing environment.
Proficiency in MS Office and HR systems.
Preferred Qualities
Strong coordination and communication skills.
Ability to work in a fast-paced plant environment.
Hands-on approach and strong people management ability.
Experience in manufacturing, engineering, or renewable energy industry is an added advantage.
