Job Summary
The Interventional Cardiologist is responsible for diagnosing and treating cardiovascular diseases through minimally invasive catheter-based procedures. The role involves managing emergency and elective cardiac interventions, providing patient care, and supporting the growth of the hospital's cardiology services.
Key Responsibilities
Clinical Responsibilities
- Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with cardiovascular diseases.
- Perform coronary angiography and coronary angioplasty (PTCA).
- Perform primary angioplasty for acute myocardial infarction (STEMI).
- Conduct cardiac catheterization procedures.
- Manage patients before, during, and after interventional procedures.
- Interpret ECG, Echocardiography, TMT, Holter, and other cardiac investigations.
- Provide inpatient, outpatient, and emergency cardiac care.
- Participate in Cath Lab procedures and quality improvement activities.
Emergency & Critical Care
- Attend cardiac emergencies and STEMI cases.
- Provide timely intervention for acute coronary syndromes.
- Coordinate with ICU, Emergency Department, and Cath Lab teams.
Administrative Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate patient records and procedure documentation.
- Ensure compliance with hospital protocols and NABH standards.
- Participate in clinical audits and departmental meetings.
- Assist in developing cardiology services and outreach programs.
Academic & Training
- Train junior doctors, nurses, and Cath Lab technicians.
- Participate in CME programs and clinical education activities.
- Stay updated with current advancements in interventional cardiology.
Qualification
- MBBS
- MD/DNB (General Medicine) or equivalent
- DM/DNB (Cardiology)
- Fellowship/Training in Interventional Cardiology preferred
Experience
- 1–10+ years of experience in Interventional Cardiology.
- Experience in independently performing coronary angiography and angioplasty.
- Experience in handling emergency cardiac interventions.
Skills Required

Pay: ₹500,000.00 - ₹900,000.00 per month
